HOW TO USE FACEBOOK GROUPS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS

In our last blog post we talked about how Facebook was a great tool to help you grow your business. Today we’re going to dive into how you can use Facebook Groups to facilitate your business and bring in new customers while educating and building communities for your existing and potential customers.

It’s About More Than Joining Groups

There are hundreds of options when it comes to picking which groups to join. You can join groups for anything, for example: to follow your favorite podcasters, learn more about your interests, and/or develop your professional network.

It’s important to keep in mind that you can join all the groups in the world but unless you’re actively engaging and participating in them, you’re not going to grow your business. Joining groups is a great way to grow your network online and outside of your immediate community. When you engage in groups you will begin to grow your following and audience. This will help you generate awareness around you and your brand to develop warm leads.

Create a Community for Your Clients and Prospects

A mistake that many businesses make is that they create a Facebook Group trying to solicit their own services. To be successful, create an educational and informational environment for your clients and prospects. Create a space for people to ask questions and get them answered by other community members. If you can get people actively participating in your groups it gives you the opportunity to voice your opinion, build your credibility and offer them your services in an organic way over time.

The most important part of Facebook Groups is to make sure that you’re always providing value to your customers. If you decide to create a group for your business, you can use it as a sales tool, give away free content, and make your customers feel special.

What Types of Groups Should You Create?

The types of groups you can create for your business are almost as endless as the ones you can join. Here’s a few that we’d recommend starting with:

  • Create a group for people who have purchased your products or services. This is a way for you to continuously engage and build relationships with your customers by providing them with useful content, offer them promos, or even give them the first look at new products and services.
  • Create a group for your brand ambassadors or micro-influencers. Are you looking for a way to communicate with the people who love your brand? Creating a group for these types of people is a way for them to provide you with new ideas, offer feedback on products, and engage with your brand. Group members will then feel like they had an influence in the creation and development of the brand moving forward. This also acts as a great marketing tool for your business because people are more likely to spread the word about a product that they feel personally invested in.

Micro-influencers can actually be more influential than people with huge followings because they have more personal connections and a stronger trust factor with their personal niche following.
